This is a very interesting and singular definition of “smarter” that seems to equate to “better at Scrabble”. Really, they’re just saying “Competitive Scrabble players are better at Scrabble than non-competitive Scrabble players.”
I mean, come on, they tested them on making words out of nonsense letters, and finding anagrams? That’s HOW YOU PLAY SCRABBLE!
