  1. Only one jumps out at me this week (except for the one already guessed), but that’s probably because I’m feeling too sick to think too hard about it.

#10 – Rolling Stones, “Let’s Spend the Night Together” (I always thought the line was “My tongue’s getting tired,” but they probably wouldn’t have been able to sing that on Sullivan either.)

  2. 1. “Germs” by Weird Al Yankovic
    3. “Tell Her What She Wants to Know” by Sam Phillips
    8. “Rock Me Gently” by Andy Kim
    9. “A Summer Song” by Chad and Jeremy

  3. It saddens me a tad that I know this, and when I say “know”, that means I used to belt this song out at the top of my lungs using a hairbrush as a microphone while dancing in front of my bedroom mirror…. but #6 is Making Love Out of Nothing at All by Air Supply. Hopefully you are listening to a much cooler cover. Gonna go listen to some metal or something now…

  4. Nope, it’s the Air Supply version. To quote Brad Pitt’s character in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, “I like it, deal with it.”

I’ve also been known to un-ironically enjoy Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

    Okay, I’m officially scared now.

  6. I maintain there’s nothing wrong with enjoying cheese on its own merits. By that criteria — and, admittedly, by no other — “Don’t Stop Believin'” is a kick-ass song. It’s not a good song, but it’s nevertheless an entertaining one, and I make no apologies for enjoying it. 🙂
