So I’m headed to Washington, D.C., for the next few days, for this work thing, which is why I’m posting this, the Random Friday Guess 10, a little early. I’m going to be taking my laptop with me, but I have no guarantee of an internet connection or the opportunity to use it while I’m there — so it’s not impossible that you won’t hear from me until next Wednesday, when I return. (Or maybe Thursday. My train gets in kind of late.)
Anyway, have fun while I’m gone. The answers to last week’s lyrics are posted here. And, as always, good luck!

Black and bay, sorrel and gray
#1 – Peter Gabriel, “Sledgehammer”
#2 – Led Zeppelin, “Nobody’s Fault But Mine”
#4 – Judy Garland, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”
#6 – The Who, “Squeezebox”
#7 – ELO, “Mr. Blue Sky” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCsvIE_sbGE)
#9 – Tom Waits, “Please Call Me Baby”
Well, not the Judy Garland version, but yeah, otherwise correct. Thanks for leaving some of them for everyone else, Eric. 😉
(And yes, obviously I have some internet connection here in D.C. We’ll see how long that lasts.)
No guesses, but I think you should take this opportunity to look for a snow globe with the Capitol Building – or the White House – in it.
I knew #1 and #6. I initially thought of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” for #4, but dismissed it. Just like my wife tells me during Jepopardy, always go with your gut.
#3. Don McLean “Crossroads”
#5. Jeff Black “Hollow of Your Hand”
