Ledger, Gilliam

Man, Terry Gilliam just can’t catch a break:

The future of Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus has been thrown into question following the sudden death of its star Heath Ledger, Variety reported.

I’m not trying to make light of Ledger’s untimely and shocking death — unlike, maybe, some people — but Gilliam has probably had more projects fall apart during or before production than any other director I know. The closest thing he’s ever had to a hit was over ten years ago.

Speaking of Gilliam, though, it somehow managed to escape my attention that PythOnline is back and completely new. In the sidebar, Eric Idle writes:

As founder of this virtual organ I feel like the father of a gifted idiot – I can no longer remember the act of passion that created it, but I’m glad that it still persists. I don’t want to look after it, or feed it, or wipe its little butt, but I do admire its refusal to go away.
