Okay, I’ve got to say, aside from the CGI baddies (which I don’t think work too well on screen), I really liked I Am Legend. Will Smith is particularly very good.

I loved the book, and after the adaptation of I, Robot I was a little leery of this. I guess I’ll have to rent it.
Well, mileage may vary. It’s a very different animal from Richard Matheson’s book. It’s also not without its flaws. But there are some wonderfully bleak and contemplative moments, at least one absolutely terrifying scene, and it just really connected with me.
I just finished listening to the unabridged audiobook. It made for some intense knitting time.
It’s been a number of years since I read the book, but it’s short enough that I should probably revisit it. The movie really is quite different.
Will Smith has come a long way from “Parents just don’t understand”.
The CGI baddies looked a bit too.. CGI. Otherwise this is a perfect movie.
It incorporates sci-fi ideas that have been beaten to death, yet it manages to remain unique.
