  1. Watching Battlestar Galactica (S1) on the projection system at the Banff Centre. Also, the townsite had fireworks (!!) and it was pretty incredible. But no parties for me.

  2. I haven’t attended a Halloween party since my freshman year in college, when I spent a night not saying much of anything to people I didn’t know at the campus science fiction society’s party. (I had a reasonably good time, for all that, but like most of my involvement with the group, I think it could have benefited from a little more involvement.)

  3. Strangely enough, I watched Phantasm yesterday. I’ve been on a horror movie kick – trying to cover Bravo’s list of 100 scariest movie moments. I was bored all through this one – it was bad. Although my coworker tells me it was pretty damn scary when she was ten. I’m still not sure I buy it.

For me, Halloween in the Quarter. Where to some small extent, every day is Halloween…

  4. I think the best I can say about Phantasm is that was very dreamlike. I was extremely disappointed in it. From what I read, the sequels are more of the same.
