The closest I came to having Halloween plans this week is when I watched Phantasm over the weekend. (And man, what a lousy overrated horror flick that turned out to be.) What about you?

Watching Battlestar Galactica (S1) on the projection system at the Banff Centre. Also, the townsite had fireworks (!!) and it was pretty incredible. But no parties for me.
I haven’t attended a Halloween party since my freshman year in college, when I spent a night not saying much of anything to people I didn’t know at the campus science fiction society’s party. (I had a reasonably good time, for all that, but like most of my involvement with the group, I think it could have benefited from a little more involvement.)
Strangely enough, I watched Phantasm yesterday. I’ve been on a horror movie kick – trying to cover Bravo’s list of 100 scariest movie moments. I was bored all through this one – it was bad. Although my coworker tells me it was pretty damn scary when she was ten. I’m still not sure I buy it.
For me, Halloween in the Quarter. Where to some small extent, every day is Halloween…
I think the best I can say about Phantasm is that was very dreamlike. I was extremely disappointed in it. From what I read, the sequels are more of the same.
