Not only did I have to go into the office today, rather than work from home, and not only did I have to get up even earlier than normal so that I could drive with my father over to the local mechanic and he could get the other car inspected, but the reason I went into the office, the reason I couldn’t have returned from the mechanic and gone back to sleep for another hour or two, the meeting I was going to have with an editor and author — that never happened.
I’ve had worse Tuesdays, I’m sure, but I’ve had better.
At least I got some other work done.
