Apparently yesterday was the summer solstice, not today. Though in most every other respect, today was yesterday’s twin, or close enough at a casual glance to be almost indistinguishable.
It’s still quite hot, that’s for sure.

Today was the first day of summer, and boy howdy did summer decide to let us know, with temperatures hovering all day in the mid to high 90s. (That’s Fahrenheit, obviously. Mid 90s in Celsius would be something like 194 degrees, which is hot even by New York City in the summer standards.)
Beyond the heat, I guess it was a mildly productive day, with a development editor meeting in the morning — us here in NY and our counterparts in the UK — and a good, informal midterm review-type chat with my boss in the afternoon.
But man was it hot outside.
