I got chills, they’re multiplyin’

I took the dog to the vet this morning. If he understood the concept of blogging — and I have to assume that he doesn’t — he would no doubt have angrily suggested I did so only in order to have something to write about here. In fact, though, it was for his chronic ear infection, which needed seeing to.

But it’s true that otherwise no much happened. I am starting to think these allergies maybe aren’t, what with addition today of slight chills and a low-grade fever. I have a chest x-ray scheduled for tomorrow, which was meant to be a follow-up on the pneumonia in one lung that wouldn’t go away. So I guess I’ll at least learn if that’s a contributing factor, if it’s gotten worse instead of better.

Either way, a trip to my own doctor might be in order.

Do I know how to live it up over vacation or what?

Tuesday, right?

It never seems to fsil: my parents go away, I tske some time off, and my allergies kick into hyperdrive. The Claritin seems to be helping — last year I tried Allegra and got rather antsy because of it — but not nearly 100%. (It’s also not completely antsy-feelings free.) Oh well, at least it didn’t rain again.

Beyond the allergy meds, I made trips to the bank and post office, making this sonething like a red letter day since Saturday. I mean, I read — books, comics, Kaleidotrope submissions — and did the laundry and dishes, but this hasn’t been a staggeringly successful time off or anything.

The dog is wondering what I did with the people he likes more than me.

Rainy day

It rained today. And then it rained and rained and rained some more. With a little rain afterward just to change things up.

These aren’t exactly the days off I had envisioned.

Did I mention how much it rained?
