Meeting the day

I spent the day in meetings, or rather one very long meeting broken up for only about an hour and a half during lunch. We recently moved production of our books to one of the UK offices, and we were meeting with the new head of that group to discuss the new procedures and ask questions while she’s visiting New York. I actually had to skip a second, separate meeting/presentation — which I’ll hopefully catch in its encore on Thursday — because I was in the first one all day. It really is turning into a busy couple of weeks before the end of the year.

Monday Monday

Unless I’m very much mistaken, today was a Monday. It was a pretty typical Monday, in what promises to be a not entirely typical week. Several meetings and presentations, more than a couple holiday lunches or parties, and deadlines looming. I’m really feeling the end-of-the-year crunch at work more than in years past. It’s going to be work getting everything to a point where I feel confident in taking two weeks off for the holidays, but I’m really looking forward to those two weeks.
