Late to the party, as usual (but this time it’s because the site address changed and it wasn’t redirecting until today). I knew #2, #3 and #6. I knew #10 was a Tom Waits song, but wouldn’t have known the title. I thought I knew #8, and the line was running around my brain all day today. I finally realized, though, that I was thinking of a line from the Stones’ “Beast of Burden” — “you can put me out / with no shoes on my feet” — and I’m pretty sure that’s not the same line Fred had in mind. Oh well.
